Structural defects insurance
All ACJ homes are covered by structural or latent defects insurance, through industry-leading building insurer, CRL. Through this plan, you’re covered for the cost of rectifying or repairing structural damage caused by a fault in the design, construction or materials of a new build, conversion or completed build project.
Why would you need this?
ACJ group is confident that you won’t ever need to use this insurance, however, we supply it as standard. Most UK mortgage lenders insist on structural defects insurance from a recognised provider before lending on any property under 10 years old, and CRL is backed by 92% of lenders.
If you decide to sell within ten years of completion, then a credible structural defects insurance policy provides peace of mind to buyers and speeds up the sales process.
If anything did go wrong, the average building defect can cost as much as £40,000, so it’s sensible to have comprehensive developer’s warranty that covers every eventuality.
